Miller Lite made their fifth stop on their 3rd Annual Tap The Future Tour in Atlanta where five semifinalist from Georgia and surrounding states delivered their best pitch in front of a live audience for a chance to win $20,000 for their small business.
Miller Lite states “Businesses are built on dreams, and we want to celebrate the people chasing theirs. That’s why we created Miller Lite Tap the Future: a competition that lets entrepreneurs pitch for a chance to earn more than $200K to fund their business. In the process, we offer business seminars, live pitch opportunities, access to business moguls like Daymond John from ABC’s “Shark Tank” and hosted by Kenny Burns, senior vice president of marketing for Revolt TV.
The five semifinalist took to the stage and each presented their pitch to Judges: Daymond John from ABC’s “Shark Tank”, Sulaiman “Su” Sanni and Ben Lamson, co-owners of WeDidIt and Marve Frazier, Chief Creative Officer of Moguldom Media Group and CEO of Bossip.com. The first contestant was The Secret Shirt which provides consumers with local discounts at establishments when they are wearing their secret shirt and is tracked through the usage of unique hash tags.
Contestant number two was a Tax Company and honestly he was sort of all over the place so the audience were all confused as to exactly rather he was pitching his tax company or his tax school.
KKD AKA Keenas Kake Design was contestant number three and when I say that this cute couple were on point! They are actually going to have their products in Whole Foods next month here in the Atlanta area and you better run down there to grab your cookies and fudge brownies! Take it from a fellow baker they are DELICIOUS!!!
The final contestant was another couple from Asheville, North Carolina and they were pitching their Mother Earth Produce. This pitch was very dear to the heart because I could feel the compassion and love that they had for keeping their local farmers working. They actually work with the local farmers and deliver fresh produce to your front door. Hey can I get a delivery at my house too! Needless to say although the husband was super nervous as his wife stood there while he pitched, girlfriend was dead on with their business numbers!
Drumroll…..The winner is…………………………………………….
The semifinalist Mother Earth Produce will now advance to the final round to compete in their final pitch after some coaching and counseling for a chance to win $200,000. You can continue to follow the #TapTheFuture hash tag because the panel has one more stop before the semifinalist make their final pitch. Special Thanks to the Resource Guild for the Invite.
